Mouse with big ears: pattern

Cotton fabric is used for the clothing and inner ear, and felt is used for the mouse’s body. Fleece can also be used for the body.

Using an A4 print format, print the pattern below on a standard printer.

The sheet does not include a pattern for the apron, but it is simple to construct yourself;)

Sachet "Rat Lariska"

A sachet is a tiny pillow that has a strong, pleasant scent and is filled with hard filler. Sachets are typically inserted into linen to impart a preferred scent to the latter.

We will require the following equipment and supplies for our work:

  • scraps of natural fabric;
  • sewing threads;
  • needle or sewing machine;
  • beads;
  • jute;
  • bast fibers;
  • glue.

How to sew a mouse: step-by-step master class

First, redraw the pattern as follows on an A4 sheet:

Hem the lower portion of the body and stitch the ear details:

Using a thread, we tighten the ears:

Sew the body, ears, and muzzle.

We turn the toy inside out and draw a line from the nose along the stomach.

After carefully trimming the ends, we glue the fibers into a wooden bead. Hand-sew the nose.

The sachet needs to be filled now.

You may employ:

  • coffee beans;
  • dried citrus peels;
  • spices;
  • fragrant soap;
  • herbal tea;
  • spices;
  • coarse sea salt mixed with essential oil, perfume or any other flavoring.

Once filled, the mouse’s body must be drawn together with jute, leaving only one long tail that has a bead attached to the end of it. Once you tie a knot in it, it’s ready!

Making a mouse out of cloth by hand is an easy and enjoyable project that only needs a few simple supplies and tools, making it ideal for novices. With simple instructions and readily available materials, you can make a quaint handmade toy that is one-of-a-kind and personalized.

DIY Rat from a Sock

Even a schoolgirl can sew the simplest toy—a rat or a mouse made out of a sock! The bare minimum of supplies are required to make it: two black buttons, a felt-tip pen, holofiber for stuffing, bright socks (not necessarily in one color), scissors, sewing thread, and a needle. For the nose, add cardboard or felt as well. That’s it! 128521;

How to sew a mouse from a sock: master class

First, fold the sock as in the below photo, then use a felt-tip pen to draw the body and ear details on it. Remove them. Sew the details from the inside out, taking care not to sew one edge.

Use holofiber or any other type of filler to stuff the body. For the tail, use an elastic band.

Sew up the exposed side after inserting the tail into the body.

Let’s work on the ears next. Continue sewing them to the future toy’s head. Attach bead eyes and a cardboard or fabric nose by sewing them on.

Create the antennae by sewing threads onto the muzzle; do not tighten them all the way.

The rodent is prepared!

Mouse in the "primitive" technique

These adorable mice can be sewn in under an hour, and they make great gifts for 2020, suitable for both adults and children! The cat toys are also ready if you tie a long loop around them.

We will require the following equipment and supplies for our work:

  • soft, fleecy fabric;
  • paper;
  • sharpened pencil;
  • scissors;
  • sewing needle;
  • threads;
  • filler;
  • buttons, fur, beads and other decorative elements.

Textile mice with big ears

This textile mouse will be adored by all kids! It won’t be any more difficult to sew than the last one, so gather your supplies and get sewing! 128521;

We will require the following equipment and supplies for our work:

  • natural fabric of any color you like;
  • paper for transferring the pattern;
  • sharpened pencil;
  • scissors;
  • sewing needle;
  • threads;
  • filler;
  • buttons (two black and one red), ruffles, cotton lace, bows and other decorative elements to your taste.

How to sew a mouse from textiles: a step-by-step master class

There is a mouse pattern in the picture below. It needs to be selected in the appropriate size and printed using a printer or copied from the screen onto paper.

Using the combination of patches (white/pink, cotton/lace), remember to cut out all the details on the paper and transfer them to the fabric.

The body of the mouse is made up of a single blank, which should be placed on a cotton fabric that has been folded in half. After cutting out the double blank, stitch along the edge.

Next, trim and stitch the toy’s tail as follows:

We displayed the blank of the cut-out paw in the first image on the left. Pay close attention to the seam allowance cut; we’ll need it to carefully flip the blank inside out and draw a distinct paw outline.

Cut two blanks for each ear from the fabric and lace. Start sewing the lace apron and sew the mouse.

The mouse’s body is then filled with holofiber, and its tail, paws, and ears are sewn in. Sew the nose and brows with the beads, followed by sewing the apron.

The paw is adorned with a bow and a mouse bracelet.

The mouse is now ready, that’s all!

A simple DIY mouse

We will require the following equipment and supplies for our work:

  • white and pink fleece;
  • a piece of pink felt;
  • sewing threads (white and black);
  • a needle;
  • holofiber;
  • thick white thread for the tail.

Pattern

Firstly, copy the design from the screen onto paper, or redraw it, and then cut it out. After that, trace the design onto the fabric and cut out each piece.

After that, turn it out and sew the body and paws together by hand or with a sewing machine. Cut pink felt for the paws.

Sew the ears and head together.

Fill the head with holofiber now:

Create a thick yarn tail and secure it in the proper location. Fasten the end with a knot. Stuff the mouse’s body firmly with holofiber and sew the head on.

We used pink felt to cut out a tiny nose-circle, stuff it with holofiber, sew it in a circle, and then pull it together.

Embroider the eyes and sew on the nose.

DIY soft toy mouse

One more, the final iteration of sewing a mouse. It is achievable even for novice sewers thanks to a straightforward pattern, little supplies needed, and minimal time invested! 128521;

We will require the following equipment and supplies for our work:

  • any thick, but soft fabric (I sewed from purple fleece);
  • pink fleece or flannel for the inner ear;
  • filler;
  • black beads;
  • sewing threads;
  • needle;
  • red ribbon;
  • sharp scissors;
  • pattern (printed or paper + pencil for redrawing).

Pattern

The pattern is first printed or redrew from the screen. Once the paper blanks are cut out, attach them to the fabric. Again, trace and cut, being careful to include seam allowances. The patterns in the above photo indicate how many fabric pieces there are. What we receive is as follows:

The fleece pieces are cut into pairs, and we sew them together leaving holes for turning out.

Leave a hole in the body and sew an oval base there.

Load the component with holofiber.

Inside out, turn the ears, paws, and tail.

Close the holes on the components.

To make the ears appear more voluminous, fold the sides and sew them on.

The tail, paws, and ears should be sewn to the body.

Attach the black beaded nose and eyes by sewing them on.
